Critter Jitters

This is not the greatest photo possible of a tiny Jumping Spider, but I still like the expression. The details could have been clearer and might have been if the wind wasn't blowing 20 mph! This spider was shot at ISO 400, f10, 1/125 sec, 200mm, then cropped to enlarge.

Morning Congregation

Squab on wires.

Long-tailed Skipper (Urbanus proteus) on Petunia

Hyde?

Does this remind you of anything, perhaps your boss' alter ego?...
...or bird bath scarecrow?

The songbirds don't pay any attention to the sinister grin of this "head" in their bird bath, but I find it a little strange.
10/21/12 Pink for Today, and Every Day

I posted this Pink Lady's Slipper (Cypripedium acaule), Gabes Mountain Trail, as my tribute.

Trying to Catch a Few Rays

Soybeans have been harvested and the crop residue is on the soil surface. All was quiet the morning I took this photo of the sun's rays streaking the sky through the clouds to the ground.

Thanks for you comments yesterday on the Orbweaver hiding in the spruce tree. Have a joyous Sunday.
