The first Quaker settlers in Ohio moved from the Carolinas in 1803 to establish a new slave-free community. The Springfield, Ohio, Friends Meeting was established in 1809 and is located in southwestern Clinton County, Ohio, on Todds Fork Road. They celebrated their bicentennial September 19-20, 2009.
